
Cliff Haefke

About
Mr. Haefke has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry and currently serves as the Director of the Energy Resources Center (ERC). The ERC is an interdisciplinary public service, research, and special projects organization that works to improve energy efficiency and the environment, providing expertise in the areas of energy efficiency, distributed generation, utilities billing management, and biofuels and bioenergy.
Mr. Haefke joined the ERC in 2000, in 2011 he joined the Center’s executive management team, and since March 2015 serves as the Center’s Director. As Director, he oversees the Center’s business and research efforts and is responsible for the Center’s strategic direction.
Mr. Haefke also serves as the Director of the U.S. Department of Energy sponsored Midwest CHP Technical Assistance Partnership, a technical outreach program that promotes combined heat and power (CHP), waste heat-to-power (WHP), and district energy CHP technologies in the industrial, commercial, and institutional market sectors in the 12 State Midwest Region.
He is a member of the International District Energy Association (IDEA), the U.S. Combined Heat and Power Association, and the Association of State Energy Research and Technology Transfer Institutions (ASERTTI), an affiliate member of the National Association of State Energy Offices (NASEO), serves on the Board of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), and is President of the Midwest Cogeneration Association (MCA).
