About
Dr. Elizabeth A. Kócs is an environment-behavior scientist at the intersections of energy, technology, economics, society and urban resilience. Her scholarly work spans environmental research on energy/sustainability perspectives and the built and human environments. At the Energy Initiative, her work bridges energy research and education, and social, economic, policy, and technological advances for urban resilience. She works to grow UIC energy and sustainability programming, and to cultivate local, regional, national and international initiatives to support curriculum, research, and collaborative efforts fostering Chicago’s growing energy ecosystem.
As Editor-in-Chief for the MRS Energy & Sustainability – A Review Journal, Dr. Kócs brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to the journal’s scope on energy and sustainability as it relates to the impact of materials on society.
